The weekend is here! Most people are looking forward to 2 days off to do whatever they want, but not me! My weekend is when I work at the restaurant. However, I really enjoy being there, in the business that the Hubs and I call ours. Its such a dream come true. Its really hard work, but I know the end result will be worth it! One of the things I love most about our restaurant is pour employees. Our restaurant is very small so we only employ 4 people. Those people have become family though. We get together every week after work for dinner and drinks and we just hang out. Its so nice to really enjoy the company of those you work with. Tonight is our employee dinner night and we are having chicken and dumplings. I know it will be a night filled with laughs with great people. Also the Olympics starts tonight! I LOVE the olympics! I cant wait to watch gymnastics, swimming, diving, track, and so many others! I am really looking forward to sharing this time with my kiddos. T is so competitive and loves watching sports on TV so I know he will really enjoy watching the Olympics! He was only 2 last time the summer Olympics were on so I cant wait for him to experience it!
Another thing I am looking forward to this weekend is going to look at some property. We are currently property shopping so we can build a home! I never would have thought 2 years ago that this is where my life would be, but I am amazed by all of my blessings!
What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Resolutions
I have always wondered why we only make resolutions once a year. Why should we only resolve to better ourselves or try new things once a year? We should constantly strive to be better people and we should always dream of trying new things. I am resolving now to have a new resolution every month. Since we are already at the end of July I will say this is for August. I will declutter my life. Simplify. Get rid of everything and everyone that is simply "taking up space". Maybe if I get rid of all the clutter I will find room for a little me time....Hey I said we should dream right?
Welcome!
Welcome to my Mommy Diaries! I am a 30 year old mommy to 3 children. L is our oldest and only daughter. She is 8 going on 18! Definitely independent and knows what she likes. T is our oldest son. He is 6 and our competitor. Everything is a competition with him. You know that saying from Talledega Nights "If you aren't first you're last"? That sums up T's personality in a nut shell! K is our youngest son and is 4. Hes our little go with the flow kid. He LOVES his big brother and follows him everywhere.
The Hubs and I have been together since we were 18. Hard to believe it has been almost 12 years!
When L was born I was a SAHM (stay at home mom). I LOVED it! I joined a mommy group and started going to play dates and play groups. There I met my best friend Amy. Our kids are the same ages and we literally complete each other. Im the wild side to her quietness and she is the footing to my head in the clouds. 6 years and 3 kids later The Hubs and I decided we needed a change of pace. We needed a MAJOR life makeover. In the matter of a week our minds were made. He quit his job of 6 years as a computer tech and we packed up and moved from Texas to sunny California! We lived with my mom for almost a year. Hubs got a job at a local restaurant/bar. Cooking was something he had always loved to do. We finally got our own house and settled into our new lives. I starting working (my first REAL job since L was born) at the elementary school that my children attend. 6 months later The Hubs and I made the decision to pursue a dream of his and we bought a restaurant. Now I am a former SAHM working 7 days a week to give my children the American dream and raise them to be respectable children. These are my Mommy Diaries...
